Working At Home Doesn’t Have To Be Online

By | Oct 31, 2008

Trying to find the right work at home business for yourself can be very hard.  The selection of work at home businesses is growing daily and choosing the right one for you can be overwhelming.

But it doesn’t have to be.  If you are still undecided about what you want to do with a work at home business, then make a list.  Write down what it is you like to do, what are your skills, how much money do you have to invest if any, will you need any equipment.

If what I do (Affiliate Marketing) doesn’t appeal to you, then there are other options. For instance, I have a friend who loves dogs and they seem to love her, she walks her own dog daily through all sorts of weather.  She wanted to work from home but doesn’t feel she has the skills to work online, so she started a dog sitting service.  She will take your dog into her home on a daily basis to “babysit” them.  She feeds them takes them for walks and spoils them shamelessly.  She charges between $200-$350 a week for a dog.  It depends on the size of the dog (she does limit it to 30 pounds), how many days a week she will have it, and how many hours.

She is able to do this because she has no small children at home during the day.  She makes between $500-$700 a week, the owners do not have to worry about their dogs when they are at work. She only works during the week and on her terms.  She provides a service that would otherwise not be there.

Working At Home? Is It A “Real” Job?

By | Oct 25, 2008

I have had friends and relatives say that it’s just not possible to run a marketing business entirely online.  If I had started to believe everything people say about online business being a scam, then I wouldn’t have begun. I bet the Wright Brothers were told they couldn’t fly, boy did they prove everyone wrong.

When I meet someone who asks what I do for a living, I tell them I market products and services online.  Then you get the “look.” You know what that is.  All of us have seen it at one time or another; it essentially says,  “What is your real job?”  There are so many skeptics in the world that people can’t believe what they are hearing.

This is my REAL JOB!  For every business to succeed whether online or offline, you have to put time and effort into the product.  It doesn’t run itself; someone has to be behind the scenes making it work.

For some of us the idea of network marketing makes us think of soliciting friends, family, friends of family, complete strangers in line at the grocery store.  I don’t know about the average marketer, but for me these are not options for creating a home-based business.

Which Affiliate Program Is Right For You?

By | Oct 22, 2008

It is important to ask questions first before joining an affiliate program. Do your own research about the choices of program that you plan to join. Are you going to promote the product or just work it as a job?  Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on. In this article I will primarily discuss promoting the products and what to look for from an affiliate company.

Will it cost you anything to join? What is the exact cost?  Are there any hidden charges? What is the return policy if you are not happy with the program?  Do you get a full refund? What kind of support will I get?  If you are going to promote it, it should cost you nothing.  It might cost a small amount if you are going to work it as a job.  This is perfectly legitimate as you are paying for the companies training materials along with their databases.

When are you paid? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, some every two weeks, etc. Select the one that is suited to your choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued. This is usually between $25.00 and $35.00.  Some take it as high as $100, those I personally stay away from.

Matchup Service For Working At Home

By | Oct 18, 2008

If you are going to work offline and could not find a job you might go to an employment agency and sometimes pay them to find that perfect employment.

If you are thinking of working online then you can do the same; the difference is online it should not cost you anything. There are many good programs on the internet that will help you make the right choice enabling you to work from home. Their services are free. The way they make money is that if you look at the sides of their page, there are usually ads from either Google or another search engine. They get paid every time someone clicks on those ads, you never have to click on those if you don’t want to. All you have to do is answer a short survey, your profile will then be matched with available work at home programs on the internet that will help you achieve your income goals.

A word of advice: get a separate email account to use when filling out these forms. Different programs will be sending you information and you need to read all the information carefully and it will also help you keep things organized.

I signed up for several of these type programs and found them extremely easy to use. You simply fill out the information about yourself and your goals. The information is used to create a profile for you so they can adequately match you with companies requiring your skills and goals.

Success: It Is All In The Mind

By | Oct 16, 2008

Several years ago I read a book called the “The Power of Positive Thinking”. You have probably heard of it. This is what I learned from that book and applied to my own life and businesses.

How do you define success? Success I have found means many things to many people. It all depends on what on what one is searching for in their life, relationships, or career. To a parent success can mean raising their children to become responsible adults, to a nurse it can mean comforting patients, to a doctor saving a life and yet to some it can mean something as simple as a promotion and/or pay increase. It all depends on what you want out of life and what you are willing to do to achieve your goals. Understanding your goals and the path it will take you to achieve them is the first step towards success.

Every individual has to decide for him or herself what the meaning of success is in their own lives. You should not measure success by someone else’s accomplishments or through what society says is success. Success is as individual as DNA.

In order to accomplish success individuals should set realistic goals for his or her life, goals that they can achieve. Make a decision based on what you truly want to offer a desirable or favorable outcome. Measure success as to how close you come to accomplishing your goals based on your skills and abilities, not on someone else’s.
