Working At Home Doesn’t Have To Be Online

Trying to find the right work at home business for yourself can be very hard.  The selection of work at home businesses is growing daily and choosing the right one for you can be overwhelming.

But it doesn’t have to be.  If you are still undecided about what you want to do with a work at home business, then make a list.  Write down what it is you like to do, what are your skills, how much money do you have to invest if any, will you need any equipment.

If what I do (Affiliate Marketing) doesn’t appeal to you, then there are other options. For instance, I have a friend who loves dogs and they seem to love her, she walks her own dog daily through all sorts of weather.  She wanted to work from home but doesn’t feel she has the skills to work online, so she started a dog sitting service.  She will take your dog into her home on a daily basis to “babysit” them.  She feeds them takes them for walks and spoils them shamelessly.  She charges between $200-$350 a week for a dog.  It depends on the size of the dog (she does limit it to 30 pounds), how many days a week she will have it, and how many hours.

She is able to do this because she has no small children at home during the day.  She makes between $500-$700 a week, the owners do not have to worry about their dogs when they are at work. She only works during the week and on her terms.  She provides a service that would otherwise not be there.

I have another friend who is a trained hairstylist, but got let go because she could not work long hours because of her children.  She has developed a clientele of 10-15 women who are willing to come to her home to get their hair cut, colored, permed.  She charges less then the salons and provides the same service.  Including if you need your nails done, her sister will come in and do those for you.  She works out of her basement, which has a private entrance, and earns between $100-$300 a week depending on the need.

Still another who is a chauffeur for seniors who need to get to Doctor appointments or shopping.  She has a van and is able to transport mobile seniors in her van.  She cannot take wheelchair bound people and there are restrictions and insurance overhead, so look into this carefully and be sure you understand all the regulations by the state and your insurance company before proceeding.

If you use your imagination you can find a work at home opportunity in your own neighborhood.  Working online is not for everyone.  But that doesn’t mean you can’t work from home.
