Are You Getting Enough Traffic?

By | Sep 12, 2008

On any business forum you will find someone asking “what is the best way to get traffic to my site?”  With the number of websites now on the Internet, it is a challenge to get quality traffic to your website.  And as we all know without traffic, you get no sales.

It is not impossible to get traffic, but it can be time consuming as there are more ways to get traffic than not. Here are some of the most common methods that I have used and had success using.

1.  Search Engine Optimization – The hardest part of building your own website but the most important.  Search engine traffic is usually targeting people of a certain demographic that would be interested in what you are selling. For instance, I am selling work at home opportunities, so I would not have a website filled with sites that have nothing to do with working from home.  Do your research and find out what terms people are using to search for whatever it is you are selling, then put those terms in your meta tags and throughout your website. People who are searching with these terms will look at your site and either buy something or “bookmark” it to come back to at a later date.

Is Your Business Turning A Profit?

By | Aug 16, 2008

In a couple of weeks the children will be back in school and a few weeks after that mothers will start thinking more about what they want to do with their “free” time.  So some start to look on the Internet in hopes of finding that perfect part-time job, that can be done while the children are at school or sleeping.

The only problem with this concept that I have come across is that a lot of mothers with businesses find that they have no idea whether or not their business is making any money.

Most “newbies”  jump in with both feet and have no idea what it is they are suppose to do to make money.  Or they simply do not have any cash flowing through to make money.  At the end of the 6 months or even a year, they sometimes realize they have spent more than they have made.  Then usually I hear the cries of “It is a scam!”  I am here to tell you not everything on the Internet is a scam; they are quite a few legitimate work at home jobs or businesses.

If you don’t know alot about finances, and the vast majority of people don’t, then how can you determine that your business is making money?  If you don’t’ keep track of advertising and sales-then how do you know how to improve?  And how do you plan on staying business?  Here are some tips to help you answer these questions:

Ebooks-New Internet Opportunities

By | Jun 18, 2008

The Internet has opened a whole new avenue for the would be author. Ebooks have become an extremely popular commodity and continues to grow in popularity. Millions of Ebooks are sold on the Internet daily, and more and more people are making an extremely good living with the buying and selling of ebooks.

Prior to the Internet would be writers would send their manuscripts out to as many publishers as they could, and wait and hope someone would publish their books. More often than not, these same writers would either never hear from anyone, or get the thanks but no thanks letter. The Internet has changed all that. Anyone with an idea can write an ebook, publish it themselves, sell it themselves, and the world is their market! This creates a whole new arena of work at home opportunities. The buying and selling of ebooks is the top growing business on the Internet today.

Take Clickbank, for example. It is a multimillion-dollar business; their products are largely made up of ebooks. These ebooks are available for you to purchase, and then resell for a profit. Amazon was the first to offer ebooks for sell, and that led the way for thousands of websites to follow.

Selling ebooks online is a wonderful business to start. There are a number of benefits associated with this type of Internet business. Although the initial set up can be a lot of hard work that includes a extensive learning curve; but that same learning curve can be overcome by reading ebooks.

THE POWER OF THE INTERNET

By | Jun 7, 2008

People talk about the power of the Internet. But what does that really mean to most people? Let me try and explain what it means to me then form your own opinion on what it means to you and why you use the Internet.

The Internet is without a doubt a powerful tool. It enables us to reach people and places we dream about, while remaining virtually unknown. We can express our feelings, as long as they are not against the law, to complete strangers without fear of ridicule. Even if that other person doesn’t agree with you or your opinions it doesn’t seem to matter, because the chances of you ever meeting this person is astronomical!

As an Internet Marketer advertising my home business, the Internet has enabled me to meet people with the same shared ideas. We all come from different backgrounds and different beliefs, but as a group we are united in our goals. These are people I would have never come to know if it were not for the Internet.
