Can you make money online with Data Entry Work?
As impossible as it may sound and as against everything you may have heard, there are many people who are earning $3000-$5000 a month working at home doing online data entry. The difficult part comes when you try to find a legitimate program that will be a continued source of income.
In the last decade work at home data entry programs have become immensely popular. So much so that it has become increasingly difficult to find a legitimate program that will provide a continued source of online income
As an affiliate marketer I have a problem recommending data entry programs as a whole due to the fact that their popularity causes a ripple effect of new programs being launched with regularity, only to fade or disappear completely without any advanced notice, leaving customers in the middle of trying to get paid.
It is my belief that the disappearance of these programs is not always caused by the unscrupulous entrepreneurs, but rather the popularity of the programs themselves. Either the programs founders make a “quick buck” and retire, or they find they are overwhelmed by how fast their business grows and are unable to handle the volume, losing complete control.
The penchant of these programs to disappear without any advanced warning makes me unwilling to review or recommend any new data entry programs. The programs featured on this page: Adwords Miracle, Web Colleagues, My-Data-Team, have been active online for some time creating a stable program as compared to some others of the same type.
Adwords Miracle and My-Data-Team focus is data entry work online; while Web Colleagues are for those individuals who are more interested in earning money through typing online articles for websites and blogs. Web Colleagues is a good place to start if you are looking to use your typing skills and creative writing talent for a home based business.
Is Your Hobby A Work At Home Business?
Do you enjoy a hobby? I know I do. I have several hobbies: reading, different types of crafts, cooking, fishing, and walking just to name a few. Several years ago I started working online as a “hobby” and after about a year I still wasn’t making any money and couldn’t figure out why.
Some people told me the reason I didn’t make any money is because I did treat my “business” as a “hobby”, and as we all know hobbies are for fun not to be taken seriously. I don’t know how you feel about your hobby but I consider mine serious. I am very serious about fishing, reading, walking, and cooking, most especially cooking.
The main reason I got into working from home was because I was bored with working for someone else. I got tired of getting up every morning and rushing to get to work. I got tired of the commute and the traffic. Plus the company I worked for downsized and I became a statistic. I never really like statistics and hated being one even more; but I like working. I liked figuring out how to do things to make a profit, I like marketing products, and thanks to my previous employer have a sound knowledge of basic computer skills, except emails, for some reason they didn’t make sense, I had put up a mental block there for some reason.
But I digress…Just because you have a hobby you enjoy doesn’t mean you can’t turn it into a work at home business. The same goes if the concept of working at home is appealing but you are not sure where to start and what is a scam and what is not.
You should enjoy what you are doing; otherwise it becomes a 9-5 J.O.B. You already have a 9-5 J.O.B why would you want another one once you get home?
Working at home should be a way for you to make money from home while doing something you enjoy. That is not to say that you shouldn’t take into consideration how you are going to make this new “hobby” profitable. After all “hobbies” can be expensive. So although working at home is satisfying as any other “hobby” it needs to be taken a little more seriously than your everyday hobby.
Then comes the question as to whether or not you need a website. Depending on the business I would have to say “yes”; however, if you are truly going to turn your ‘hobby” into a business, then consider putting your crafts on sites like Etsy. Although I personally have never done this, my daughter does and I don’t believe it costs anything to sign up. Just do your research first.
Digressing again…when you start a work at home business no matter what type, you need to consider all the costs involved. Are there any monthly fees? If the company has a product do you have to purchase a certain amount of products and then store them? What about advertising the products and services? How much are you willing to spend per month on advertising because I will honestly tell you that free advertising is only one way of advertising your new business venture. To be really successful you have to be able to set up a monthly advertising budget and stick to it.
Working at home while some do consider it a “hobby” is hard work for the beginner. There is a lot of reading and learning. Like any business it takes time to grow and become profitable, what makes it worthwhile for me anyway is that it is fun and I have no one but myself to congratulate when things go well and no one but myself to blame when things go wrong.
I am constantly learning new techniques, new programs, and new software. Every day has become an adventure in learning. When I open my emails in the morning I look forward to seeing how much money I made while I was sleeping, or who has contacted me to ask questions.
For me my work at home business could be considered another “hobby”; one that I have turned into a very profitable one.
As you know there are several opportunities online and probably twice as many “scams”, personally I try to avoid the latter. There is a group of ladies that I have worked with in the past who are great at mentoring “newbies”. All are successful online marketers who have developed their own “niche” markets. Take a moment to check them out you won’t be disappointed.
Working 9-5 While Creating An Income Online
People all over the world and all walks of life would love to have the freedom of working for themselves. Working from the comfort of your own home without the daily commute is a pipe dream for many people. While these same people hate their day jobs they are insecure about taking that final step to working at home. The uncertainty that comes with a work at home income is too overwhelming for the average person. Although the world economy in the last few years has proven that nothing in the job market is a guarantee.
These same individuals, understandably, value not only the steady income of a full time job, but also the benefits that are often included. The consistently complain to spouses and friends about their bosses and work environment, but are still hesitant to do anything about it. It is my belief that there are some people who thrive on complaining about their jobs, while others seek ways to improve their income through perhaps what some might consider unorthodox methods.
Those who do look for other means of supporting themselves beyond the everyday work environment often feel oppressed at their 9-5 job. They want more out of what life has to offer. These individuals are looking for a new challenge and the freedom that comes with owning their own online business.
Forget daycare, commutes, long hours, little pay, tiredness, boredom and the very idea of office politics is tiresome. You can choose what it is you want to do while still working 9-5 to satisfy the bill collectors and spouses.
Start on the road to personal financial freedom in your spare time. There are many avenues you can take with online marketing. Some turn a hobby into a business, others sell items on eBay through drop shipping companies, while others become affiliates for various online businesses. All or just one of these options can produce extra income for you and your family.
What does a person need to become successful online? Here is a list of items you need outside of the computer: determination, courage, patience, self-discipline, independence, responsible, organizational skills, willingness to learn new concepts, dedicated and a strong desire to succeed.
Owning and operating your own home business will require you to be able to make informed decisions. It will require you to be able to set aside a set number of hours each week to work.
Whether you are looking to supplement your income, save for retirement, or you just plain want to be released from the daily 9-5 grind, working at home with your own online business is the right step for you to take.
If you still are not sure if this is going to be the right step for you and your family, then take small steps and work online a few hours a night. This will give you a good idea of what is involved. You will become familiar with the challenges of an online business and whether or not you can elevate yourself to handle those challenges. Test the waters while having the security of your day job.
Remember patience, determination, and courage are the three most important qualities for anyone wanting to work from home.
Finding the Right Home Business
Every day I look at my inbox and see dozen of offers to make me rich quick. Offers that say I need this to make my home business work, if I use this product I will get guaranteed visitors to my websites. I particularly dislike the ones that promise thousands of dollars overnight for the purchase of their product. Guaranteeing me the chance of a lifetime if I only follow their simple business plan.
If I signed up for everyone of these program or just a few, then I would be making someone rich, but not necessarily me. I am not saying that all of the emails I get are trying to sell me a bill of goods, but a great majority of them are.
So how did I pick the businesses I am involved with? I tried out a few of the emails that sounded promising in the beginning. I learned a lot through them on how I did not want to market my products, but earned no money.
First of all I had read years ago about a gentlemen who did nothing but affiliate marketing. Some people say that affiliate marketing is just selling a bill of goods to the next unsuspecting customer. Let me say that not all affiliate marketers are honest, not all affiliate marketers know their products. Most have never tried out the products they promote. I personally have not tried out all the products I promote. So how do I know they are not honest work at home businesses?
It is a matter of trust. Over the years I have come to know and value friendships with many online marketers. Many are hard working people just like you who want to help others achieve the American Dream of owning their own business. Most of the people I work with have tried the programs I offer and vouch for their authenticity. Some of the products I have tried myself so I know they are honest companies.
Let us say for the sake of conversation, that you purchase a product from my site. Over the next couple of weeks you feel that the product is not living up to your expectations and you are feeling cheated. What can you do…simple every program I offer comes with a complete money back guarantee with no questions asked. Be sure and read the refund guidelines before you join any program so that you understand the process needed to get your money back.
I offer a couple of “free” programs such as SFI. I have been with SFI for over 5 years and if you have read any of my reviews on the program you will see that I haven’t always been happy with them. But as a company as a whole, they are worthwhile. They have so much to offer and the training is excellent. Follow their guidelines and in a couple of months you will see some income. And what is great is that income will just continue to grow over time.
Another program that I have recently joined is Maverick Money Makers. It is still to early for me to say whether it lives up to its hype, but I will say some of the training and support I have received from other members is great.
Obviously I am not a newbie to Internet Marketing or owning my own home business, so I am more in tune with how to earn money online, but it wasn’t always the case. At one time at the beginning of this adventure I did not know a search engine from a website. I read, listened, joined a few programs both good and bad, visited a lot of forums for information, tried not to ask stupid questions, and found a group of people who were just like me in wanting to earn money from home.
So take a look around my various websites and start your new career online. I have programs that sell health products such as Herbal Life, survey sites, drop shipping companies for an Ebay business, even sites that offer instruction on how to get the most out of your selling on Ebay. From working entirely online to combining working online and offline. Take some time to look around to find what you are looking for in a work at home business.
The one piece of advice I give everyone who signs up under me at any program is: DON’T SPEND MONEY YOU DON’T HAVE! SPEND YOUR MONEY WISELY!
Two other websites that I have just for the fun of it:
